Faheem Jafar has a unique way of being able to transfer explicit and tacit knowledge about Project Management to his clients seamlessly. I was very fortunate to be one of Faheem’s students where he navigated through the PMP syllabus and provided contextual reasoning to help with the education. Over this course, he managed to deliver thoughtful, descriptive, and adaptive ways to equips the virtual classroom with the knowledge required to excel in their respective exams and their everyday careers. I am a self-learner by my nature. Saying that, I prefer to keep my own pace, read and take notes to memorize things and visualise some concepts in sketches or flowcharts.

Nonetheless, I appreciate the value that group discussions bring. And that’s exactly what I enjoyed the most in this course. Faheem is a great discussion facilitator – he keeps the group engaged even at 11 pm.

A Big Thank You to Faheem for taking me and our wonderful group through the PMP Exam Training Prep! The discussions we had proved to be invaluable and for me, was the highlights of the course. The course covered the Exam Material in good details and Faheem did a great job of taking what would otherwise be considered quite dry material, and making it fun and engaging. With the added changes of Agile frameworks into the Exam agenda, Faheem was very open to introducing the new concepts to us and was very open to our rudimentary questions helping us to gain a better grasp of the concepts! Faheem did an outstanding job managing some of the largest and most complex integration projects for products I manage. Not only were those he managed outstanding but on two instances when his staff became unavailable, he stepped in seamlessly and continued the projects. He is not only an excellent PMO director but clearly still has the hands-on skills to drive high profile projects with technical complexity and very challenging stakeholders.

Faheem was a senior member of the HP account team providing outsourced services to Origin Energy. I worked closely with Faheem on a number of aspects of the relationship – In particular he was the HP lead for the development of new demand management processes for project related activity. Whilst Faheem understands the value of standardised processes for the efficient running of any enterprise, he is also pragmatic enough to know when to intervene on behalf of the customer if the process is constraining critical delivery. I always found Faheem to be very professional, a great communicator and most importantly someone I could rely on to meet any commitment he made.

I have personally worked with Faheem for a number of years whilst he was at IBM. During this time we completed a number of extremely successful, high profile and complex IT projects for one of Australia’s big four banks. His role in most of these cases was as a Programme Manager whilst my normal role was as an Enterprise IT Architect in charge of the technical solution.

I was able to get to know Faheem quite well over this period and came to respect his high level of professionalism and concentration on detail and consistency.

Faheem always made the effort to clearly identify tasks and schedule to all project stakeholders and it was always a joy to work within his team structures.

Faheem’s project management style has a rare blend of PMBOK competency based skills in conjunction with excellent interpersonal skills. I personally found this combination refreshing in comparison to many project managers and programme managers I have worked with. I found that the combination of tenacity, project management abilities, and good communications skills found in Faheem is truly unique.

Faheem is both a perceptive manager of parallel tasks and a great people person! He achieves progress in the face of extreme pressure and multiple obstacles with perserverence, humour, and good will. He maintains excellent customer and internal team relationships and is always willing to do what is required to both help them achieve their goals and the project objectives. Faheem is a ’rounded’ project manager, able to operate in different customer climates and to fluid requirements – while still maintaining project disciplines. Where necessary, he knows the limits of a process and when to circumvent it. His communication (especially presentation) skills and ability to negotiate and influence are well honed.

He is a highly commendable PM and would professionally deliver as a key manager in a major IT delivery project.

I worked with Faheem while he was preparing for his PMI certification. Faheem is a great, dependable, person with a warm personality, and an attitude that inspires confidence. Faheem was our instructor for the PMP Certification Exam Prep Workshop April 2021. He always brought his high energy and enthusiasm to each session. This was greatly appreciated considering that most of us on the course were studying from 8pm to 11pm after a day of work.
